Bare Minimum.

Witchery knit (very similar style  here), Tony Bianco "Alexa" boots, Alexander Wang "Diego" bag, Le Specs "Runaways" sunglasses

This outfit is wholly representative of how I have been dressing in this cool-but-not-yet-cold
weather and, let's face it, how I like to dress pretty much all the time. One basic, neutral piece
thrown on with a few heavy black accessories and...that's it. When it comes to minimalism,
clearly don't do things by halves. But you would all know this by now.

Meanwhile, the lucky winner of the Chip Chop! giveaway was Mandy - congrats you lucky
thing! I shall be shooting an email your way shortly. Thank you to all who entered, it was
great seeing so much love for the cape. There are sure to be more giveaways in the future,
sif it wasn't your day today there are plenty more opportunities to come.

Hope everyone is having a lovely start to the week.

Pop Trash.

IMG_5742_2
Country Road silk shirt, Acne "Pop Trash" jeans (still like these, these and these for that same distressed boyfriend
look), Alexander Wang 'Rafael' bag, Karen Walker 'Number One'sunglasses, 2 baia vista sandals.

Yeah, so...this happened. The jeans, that is. There was one pair left on My Catwalk, in
my size, on sale. There really was nothing else to be done. Looking forward to styling
them up with heels for an undone evening look soon enough, but for now I am quite happy
pairing them with flats for that lazy weekend/off-duty effect. Luckily I think my height lets
me get away with doing so. Thinking these will loosen up further and stoop to an even
slouchier level, which will likely make me love them that much more. Consider me well
and truly on the boyfriend jean bandwagon.

On a completely unrelated note, I found out yesterday that my blog is a finalist in the
2012 Ultrabook Pedestrian.tv Blogster Awards, yay! You can vote for your favourite,
so if you feel like my little slice of cyberspace stacks up against the other awesome fashion
blogs out there, I would absolutely love your support. You can vote simply by clicking
'Like' on my blog's profile here. Thanks a million!

A little candid from my Sunday afternoon. This Chip Chop! dress is the perfect throw-on

were made for lazy weekend wanderings I feel. Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend,
and don't forget to enter my giveaway!

Proportional.

MBFWADay4GirlCanShoot
Zara coat, Witchery dress, Zomp heels, Karen Walker "Number One" sunglasses, Alexander Wang "Rafael" bag

My final outfit from the fashion week that was. I enjoy playing with proportions with my
outer- and inner-wear if you had yet to notice. It's a great way to add interest to outfits that
are otherwise entirely ordinary, like this head-to-toe black and white ensemble for instance.
The lesson? When in doubt, throw something long over something short as per my last post,
or vice-versa as per above. Any outfits built on basics can be made more interesting this
way I feel. Meanwhile, I am (finally) launching a pretty sweet giveaway tomorrow. I so
wish I could keep what I have for you for myself, but if I must give it away I'm glad it
will be to one of you lovely individuals. Stay tuned...

UNIF 'Flasher' Trench from Beginning Boutique, MINKPINK top, Shona Joy shorts, Zomp heels, Zara clutch (similar here

My outfit from the third day of MBFWA. I am wholeheartedly into the long-trench-
thrown-over-short-lengths look - I feel it makes even the skimpiest of outfits look almost
winter appropriate. I say almost only as I think I was probably pushing it somewhat with
the bare legs on a few of my days in Sydney. I persevered, though. I persevered. You
can take the girl out of Queensland...

Knits On The Harbour.

MBFWADayTwoThreeQuarterLength-1
Zara coat, Witchery knit, Alexander Wang 'Rafael' bag, Alexander Wang 'Colette' sandals, Le Specs 'Runaways' sunglasses

This is what I wore on day number two of MBFWA. Stumbled upon this crazily good knit dress
in Witchery a few weeks ago and have basically worn it every other day since. Need to go back
soon to see if there are any other colours, actually. Knit dresses are the shirt dresses of winter in
my eyes, and a true staple for me in the cooler months. This Zara coat was also attached to my
shoulders practically all week as well. It is currently in stores in Australia (I just purchased the
black version of it too), and has such a perfectly slouchy, cocoon shape I cannot get enough of it.
It is everything I have ever wanted outerwear to be, put plainly. Hope you are enjoying my
fashion week outfits - I am working on a little post of my favourite snippets from the shows I
attended as well as more of what I wore, so definitely stay tuned.

Day One.

UNIF 'Flasher' Trench from Beginning Boutique, Bassike dress, Alexander Wang 'Rafael' bag,
Tony Bianco 'Alexa' boots, Le Specs 'Runaways' sunglasses

Finally back home with my laptop and a working internet - let the fashion week posts
finally begin. This was the outfit for day number one. Read: what I wore on the plane ride
down,
plus red lipstick. It was all about comfort for the first day, seeing as I hadn't even
checked
into my hotel yet and had needed to scope out the walk from there to the shows.
Ankle boots
were definitely the right choice for that day. Most, most definitely.

For Comfort.

IMG_4544Ash 'Bowie' Wedge Sneakers (similar here), Don't Ask Amanda shirt dress

Currently living in this spotted shirt dress/wedge sneaker combo. In the lead up to what is no doubt

going to be one crazy fashion frenzy next week, any outfit this simple and comfortable is highly attractive
to me right now. I also have an exciting giveaway coming up this weekend in honour of Australian
fashion week too, so stay tuned...
